Officials have released more information regarding a major federal law enforcement operation in Houston’s Clinton Park neighborhood has resulted in 10 arrests on drug and firearms charges, authorities confirmed Tuesday.

A major federal law enforcement operation is underway Tuesday in the Clinton Park neighborhood in east Houston, involving multiple agencies executing court-authorized search warrants.

Fifty people were detained during immigration raids carried out across the Houston area this week, according to the Texas attorney general’s office.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said deputies and various partnering agencies were investigating the after hours bar on Veterans Memorial, which he described as a "hub for criminal activity."

Court documents show they were being held for ransom.

Harris County authorities say three men were arrested after an investigation revealed the manufacture and distribution of drugs.
