HOUSTON – Crews are racing to finish construction on the new Midtown Park, which is expected to debut this Saturday during a Super Bowl event. “I didn't think they were going to finish in time for the Super Bowl but they've done a good job." The Midtown Development Authority has been working on converting the three-acre vacant lot into a green space for concerts and recreation. A spokesperson for the Midtown Development Authority said only a portion of the park will be open this Saturday. Saturday’s Midtown Park Super Block Party starts at 10 a.m. at Main and McGowen.
