The City of Manvel has announced the retirement of Public Safety Director and Chief of Police Keith Traylor after 13 years of service to the city and nearly 50 years of combined law enforcement experience.

The Manvel Police Department is responding after Mayor Dan Davis called for the city to end its contract with Flock, the license plate reader company used by law enforcement agencies across the greater Houston area.

Manvel police say seven people were arrested following a multi-day online sting targeting suspected child predators, and one of those arrested has been linked to the Children’s Museum of Houston.
