Authorities in Madison County, alongside the FBI, are scheduled to hold a news conference at 10:30 a.m. at the Madison County Sheriff’s Office to discuss updates on a cold case unsolved since 2016.

It’s become a bizarre national mystery, six cows found mutilated in Madison County. Investigators with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office said the remains weren’t even scavenged by animals.

They said a rancher told them a 6-year-old longhorn-cross cow had been found lying on her side, deceased, and mutilated on their ranch.
