Among the winners at Thursday's show were pop singer Camilo and the Mexican band Grupo Firme, which took home five awards apiece. Bad Bunny’s awards included the night’s top honor, artist of the year, as well as album of the year and best urban artist of the year. A total of 147 artists were nominated in 34 categories honoring various musical styles, including pop, urban, tropical and regional Mexican.

The Mexican singer won album of the year — a category dominated by male acts — on Thursday night with “Un Canto Por México, Vol. Lafourcade didn't attend the Latin Grammys, which aired live on Univision and featured a number of performances, most of them pre-taped due to the coronavirus pandemic. Grammy, Emmy and Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda kicked off the Latin Grammys with a strong message about Latin music. 2019 Latin AMAs Nominations: Ozuna, Daddy Yankee, Becky G, Rosalia, Bad Bunny and More

Its Ozunas world and were just living in it. The nominees for this years Latin American Music Awards were announced Wednesday morning, and for the second consecutive year, Ozuna leads with nine nominations. Produced by Telemundo, the awards show will take place on Oct. 17 at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, California. Other top nominees include Romeo Santos and Bad Bunny with eight nominations each, followed by Anuel AA with seven. Marc Anthony, Maluma, Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Sebastian Yatra garnered four each, and Becky G, Rosalia, Pedro Capo, Wisin y Yandel, DJ Snake and Drake round out the top nominees with three each.
