Hello, Chancellor Johnson writing to you this week. We’re past the halfway mark of the NFL season and going into today’s game, the Texans sit at 1-7-1. This weekend, they’re back at NRG stadium with a date against another NFC East opponent the Washington Commanders.

The Texans activated defensive tackle Michael Dwumfour (6-foot-1, 296 pounds) from designated for return from injured reserve after he returned to practice this week. Dwumfour, a former undrafted free agent from Rutgers, has recovered from a rib injury and the team launched his 21-day practice window. He has played in four games this season and has two tackles. The Texans waived veteran defensive tackle Jaleel Johnson.

Jaleel Johnson busted into the Tennessee Titans' backfield Sunday afternoon, sacking rookie quarterback Maliek Willis.

Veteran linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill is being cut by the Texans at his request, according to a league source.

Another 21 NFL players were placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, including Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill, cornerback Rashad Fenton and tight end Blake Bell.
