Officials with First Community Credit Union are breaking ground this week on an expansion at the corporate office in the Copperfield area at 15260 FM 529, Houston. The project is slated to take about 18 months to complete and entails adding a second three-story building connected to the original building by a courtyard and skywalk. Vice President of Marketing Amber Magee said the original office was built in 2003, and the company has since outgrown the space. The credit union will continue to provide savings, checking, credit cards, auto loans, personal loans, home loans, commercial lending and treasury services with fraud prevention tools for consumers and businesses. The third-largest credit union in the Greater Houston area, First Community Credit Union also supports local organizations and gives back $100,000 to the community through ongoing fundraisers each year, Magee said.
