A man was arrested following a shootout with deputies during an attempted burglary in north Harris County. The suspect, after exchanging gunfire with deputies, fled to a residence where he barricaded himself with two adults and several children. The adults exited safely, and deputies secured the children and detained the suspect, who had gunshot wounds, and took him to a hospital. An investigation is ongoing.
