Texans WR Will Fuller suffers broken collarbone at training camp

HOUSTON – Houston Texans wide receiver Will Fuller broke his collarbone at training camp Wednesday and will be out indefinitely.

KPRC2 Sports Director Randy McIlvoy said Fuller was injured participating in the daily team drill where the offense goes against the defense.

On a play which was during a non-shooting period for media, Fuller went up to make a catch and came down awkwardly on the ground while trying to adjust with defender K.J. Dillion.

Dillion landed on Fuller and, according to reports, Fuller suffered a broken collarbone. He is out indefinitely.

The Texans have not commented to the exact nature of the injury.

When asked after practice about Fuller's injury, Texans head coach Bill O’Brien replied, "I don’t know. I’m concerned any time someone has to leave practice early. Always concerned about the safety of the players."

Fuller, in his second season, caught 47 passes for 635 yards and 2 touchdowns in his rookie year.

He also had 7 catches in the postseason.

Fuller is arguably the team's second best receiver behind DeAndre Hopkins. The injury might mean more playing time for Jaelen Strong and Braxton Miller.
