Ricky Williams arrested in Austin on outstanding traffic warrants

AUSTIN, Texas – Austin police arrested Errick Lynne "Ricky" Williams Jr. Tuesday, according to authorities.

Williams, 40, was arrested in the 4000 block of Manchaca Road for two outstanding traffic warrants: one for speeding and one for failure to maintain financial responsibility (insurance).

Williams was taken to the Travis County Jail.

Williams played college football at the University of Texas in Austin.

He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in 1999. He was the fifth overall selection in the draft that year.

Williams is currently a football analyst for ESPN's Longhorn Network.

He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2015.
