HOUSTON – The Texans worked out former Detroit Lions cornerback and first-round draft pick Terrion Arnold this week while he is dealing with multiple legal charges in Florida.
Arnold’s agent, Nicole Lynn, testified in a virtual court hearing held in Tampa, Fla., that the AFC South franchise worked out Arnold and that four teams have been in touch about potentially signing him. The teams include the Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Seattle Seahawks and New York Jets. His lawyer, Harvey Steinberg, previously stated that several NFL teams have expressed interest in signing Arnold, a former Alabama standout.

The Texans formally met with Arnold at the NFL scouting combine in 2024. At the time, Arnold said that he thoroughly enjoyed meeting with fellow Alabama football alum DeMeco Ryans, the Texans head coach.
Arnold, granted $1 million bond on June 30, is facing felony charges of kidnapping, armed robbery and conspiracy. The charges carry a potential life sentence. Under the conditions of his bail, Arnold is allowed to leave his home only for legal or work, including NFL workouts, purposes. Arnold is allowed to continue to seek NFL employment while he deals with the legal situation.
Denise White, CEO of EAG Management, previously issued a statement refuting the allegations after Arnold was arrested and voluntarily turned himself in.
“Terrion Arnold categorically denies any involvement in the matters underlying the allegations made against him and maintains his innocence,” White said in a statement. “There is no credible evidence linking Mr. Arnold to these allegations. Instead, the government appears to be relying on testimony from multiple convicted felons who have admitted their own involvement and may have substantial incentives to shift blame in an effort to lesson their sentences. Mr. Arnold looks forward to his day in court and is confident that the judicial process will lead to his ultimate vindication.”
Arnold remains a free agent after being waived by the Lions after he was charged. He went unclaimed off waivers with two years remaining on a $14.3 million rookie contract.
Arnold reported more than $250,000 in cash, jewelry, luxury bags and other items were stolen from an Airbnb he rented. The stolen items included Rolex watches and Louis Vuitton bags.
Prosecutors alleged that three victims were robbed at gunpoint. They alleged that six of Arnold’s associates beat and pistol-whipped the victims.
Two female co-defendants have pleaded guilty and are cooperating with law enforcement officials. They have alleged that Arnold ordered others to carry out the crimes while he wasn’t present at the scene.
