And the first-round draft pick from Georgia Tech had a blast while raising money for the Houston Boys & Girls Club at Great Wolf Lodge.

Rutledge threw passes to kids in a timed challenge, working together as Great Wolf Lodge pledged a final donation of $14,250 to the Boys & Girls Club.

“It was great,” Rutledge told KPRC 2. “Be that little inner kid again, just be a big kid and have a good time out there.

After the challenge, the kids joined Rutledge for a run on the Texas Twirler slide, followed by a meet and greet. The event reflects a shared commitment between Rutledge, Great Wolf Lodge, and the Boys & Girls Club to invest in local youth and create memorable experiences that give back to the community.

“Hanging out with the Boys & Girls Club kids, literally, 10, 15 years ago, I was in their shoes,” Rutledge said. “Growing up, I was going to the Boys & Girls Club when Mom had to go out and work. I’ve been in their shoes, so I understand what that means. So, it’s huge for me to be able to help the little kids out.”
