Texans signing former Cardinals guard Evan Brown to one-year deal worth up to $3.5 million

HOUSTON – Former Arizona Cardinals offensive guard Evan Brown is joining the Texans.

He was released late this weekand lands quickly with the Texans on a one-year deal with maximum value of $3.5 million.Deal negotiated by Sean Kiernan and Tommy Povinelli from Athletes First.

The Texans have been seeking interior offensive line reinforcements to go along with Ed Ingram, Aireontae Ersery, Jake Andrews and Braden Smith. Now, they’ve added an experienced lineman to the mix.

Brown, 29, has played for the Cardinals, New York Giants, Cleveland Browns and Seahawks.

He started 11 games at left guard for Arizona last season.
