HOUSTON – Auburn safety Jaylin Simpson is visiting the Texans today, according to a league source.
A first-team All-Southeastern Conference, Simpson excelled at the NFL scouting combine.

He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds with a 4.55 short shuttle, a 40-inch vertical and an 11-1 broad jump.
Simpson (6-foot-1, 178 pounds) returned an interception for a touchdown last season in a 59-14 victory over Massachusetts . He finished the season with four interceptions and 38 tackles and one fumble recovery. He had seven career interceptions.
He is a converted cornerback. In 2022, he finished with 37 tackles, five pass deflections and two interceptions.
