Lamar's Anthony Cook signs with Texas Longhorns

HOUSTON – It was a big day for the Lamar Texans as well as the Texas Longhorns as they pulled a big recruit from the Houston area.

Lamar cornerback Anthony Cook joined his teammates, cornerback D'Shawn Jamison and wide receiver Alvonte Woodard, who previously signed with the Longhorns before Wednesday's signing day.

Cook said he chose the Longhorns because he felt at home and he knows that with all the Houston-area players committing to Texas, they will win a national title soon.

Cook chose UT over LSU and Ohio State.
