"This is an exciting day for us and an exciting day for this city and an exciting day for these players," owner Bob McNair said. "We've known where we wanted to go, and you can't always go there when you want to go there. Players have to be available. You have to have the opportunity. Fortunately, this year we were able to experience that situation."

"if you look back over the last five or so years, I think we've had some measure of success" general manager Rick Smith said. 'But we haven't taken the next step and we really believe that this class of free agents gives us an opportunity to do that."

Head coach Bill O'Brien was impressed with his new players.

"These four guys here definitely fill some needs in our opinion and make us a better team," O'Brien said.

Osweiler was with the Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos last season, mostly as Peyton Manning's backup, but he started seven games when Manning was injured.

"I have great respect the Houston Texans organization and what Mr. McNair has created here in Houston. I'm extremely humbled. I'm honored. But most of all, I'm extremely excited to get to work," Osweiler said. "I promise you that I will come in this building every single day, rain or shine, and I will give it everything I have. Nobody will outwork me, nobody will outprepare me."

He completed 61.9 percent of his passes and threw for 10 touchdowns and 6 interceptions in 2015.

The 25-year-old was drafted out of Arizona State in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

Miller, played the last four seasons with the Miami Dolphins.  He played all 16 games for the Miami Dolphins in 2015, rushing for 872 yards and 8 touchdowns.

"I'm just looking forward to this opportunity... be a great teammate, come in to compete and just try to be a team player," Miller said.

Texans' fans may remember Miller from last October when he torched Houston for 175 yards rushing and a touchdown on the ground and through the air.

"I think it was one of the best games of my career. I'm looking forward to having big games like that with this organization," Miller said.

He was drafted out of Miami (Fl.) in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

Allen is a former second round pick who made 36 starts over the last four seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Center Bergstrom was drafted out of the University of Utah in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft by Oakland. He started all 16 games for the Raiders in 2015.
