HOUSTON – A woman who shot and killed her boyfriend Monday in northwest Houston after a domestic dispute has been arrested on murder charges, police said.

According to authorities, Emily Rose Orbe, 32, and her boyfriend got into a verbal and physical argument around 8:30 p.m. inside Willowbrook Mall before taking it into the parking lot of a credit union next to the mall.

The 40-year-old man was dead with at least one gunshot wound when police arrived, and the woman had several cuts and bruises all over her body and was transferred to a hospital, police said.

According to police, the man got on his motorcycle and was trying to get away from Orbe, who was chasing him around the parking lot in a silver Dodge Durango.

Witnesses said the couple was driving in circles in the parking lot while she yelled at them to “call the police.”

Both the Durango and the motorcycle have damage and are believed to have collided at some point during the altercation.

There is still no word on what started the altercation.
