According to Texas Tribune, a newly opened stretch of State Highway 130 from Austin to Seguin has an 85-mph speed limit.

According to Texas Tribune, state transportation officials and the SH 130 Concession Company, the private firm that built the road insists that it was designed to safely handle cars traveling that fast.
