R&B group Bell Biv DeVoe donates $20K to HISD Harvey relief fund

Money will benefits students and faculty affected by storm

HOUSTON – R&B trio Bell Biv DeVoe visited Houston on Thursday to donate $20,000 to the Houston Independent School District's Harvey relief fund.

The group held a check presentation at Attucks Middle School on Bellfort Street, and met with students and faculty.

Bell Biv DeVoe held a free concert in their hometown of Boston after Hurricane Harvey. That concert led to donations of school supplies for HISD. The group said they knew the need went beyond supplies, so they made the $20,000 donation.

Bell Biv DeVoe is best known for their hit single 'Poison', which was one of the most popular songs of 1990.
