2 shot, 1 fatally, during attempted robbery at north Houston gas station

Two people were shot during an attempted robbery at a north Houston Chevron gas station Sunday, Houston police
said.

Police said they received a call about a robbery and shooting in the 400 block of West Little York Road near the North Freeway about 8:45 a.m.

Police said one to three suspects went into the gas station and attempted to rob the store.

Gunfire was exchanged between the suspects and the gas station clerk, police said.

According to police, one of the suspected robbers was found on the 7400 block of Domino Street, where the robbers crashed in a ditch. Police said the man had been shot and died at the scene.

The clerk was also shot. He was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
