Healthy eating has a new home in Missouri City with the opening of Grain & Berry, a fast-casual café known for its açaí bowls, smoothies, fresh juices and other wholesome menu items.
Located at 9010 Sienna Crossing Drive, Suite 250, the restaurant is owned by co-franchisee Uche Jessica Mbaka and her husband, who were inspired to bring the Florida-based brand to Texas after trying it during a trip to Tampa.

“My husband researched the brand, and we flew to Tampa to try it,” Mbaka said. “We loved it and decided it would be great to bring back to Texas.”
Opening the café marks the couple’s first venture into the restaurant industry, but not their first business. They also own an IV drip spa in Rosenberg, and Mbaka continues to work full-time as an anesthesiologist while helping operate the new restaurant.
For now, the couple is focused on making their first Grain & Berry location successful before considering expansion.
The café serves made-to-order açaí bowls, smoothies, salads, fresh juices, avocado toast, flatbreads and quesadillas. Its menu also includes vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free and paleo-friendly options made with fresh ingredients.
The Missouri City location is now open, giving Fort Bend County residents another option for healthy breakfasts, lunches and post-workout meals.
