Consumers are being urged to check their spice cabinets after Blackstone Products announced a nationwide recall of certain Parmesan Ranch seasoning blends due to possible Salmonella contamination.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the recall affects specific lots of Blackstone Parmesan Ranch seasoning sold exclusively at Walmart stores and through Blackstone’s website.

The recalled product comes in a 7.3-ounce container with item number #4106. The affected lot numbers include:
- 2025-43282 — Best By July 2, 2027
- 2025-46172 — Best By Aug. 5, 2027
- 2026-54751 — Best By Aug. 12, 2027
The company says the recall was issued after learning a dry milk powder ingredient used in the seasoning had previously been recalled because of possible salmonella contamination.
No illnesses have been reported so far.
Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, especially in young children, older adults and people with weakened immune systems. Symptoms may include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare cases, the infection can spread into the bloodstream and lead to more severe complications.
Consumers are advised not to use the recalled seasoning and to throw it away immediately. Blackstone Products says customers can contact the company at 1-888-879-4610 for replacement information or questions about the recall.
