HOUSTON – Houston police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal stabbing of a man found inside a vehicle in a downtown parking garage over the weekend.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers responded around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 17, to a report of a suspicious vehicle at 2000 Crawford Street.

When officers opened the vehicle inside the garage, they discovered a man in the backseat suffering from what appeared to be a stab wound. Paramedics with the Houston Fire Department pronounced him dead at the scene.

The victim has since been identified as 53-year-old Henry Lee.

Investigators said the person of interest is described only as a man wearing a dark hooded jacket and khaki pants. Police said the man was last seen walking northbound on Crawford Street.

Authorities released a photo of the person of interest, but noted he has not been charged with a crime at this time.

Detectives with HPD’s Homicide Division are continuing to investigate the case.
