Harris County Treasurer arrested, charged with DWI Second DWI arrest for Harris County treasurer draws scrutiny
GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas – Dr. Carla Wyatt, the Harris County Treasurer was arrested for the second time since December. This time in Galveston County.
Wyatt was booked into the Galveston County Jail this evening.
She is charged with driving while intoxicated.
This marks the second time she has been arrested for DWI.
Court records indicate she was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated back in 2023. Prosecutors stated her blood alcohol concentration level was at least .15.
The charge was dismissed after she completed a pretrial diversion program.
Back in December she was arrested in Harris County, charged with burglary of a motor vehicle .
A Harris County grand jury returned a no-bill on that charge which means the charge was dismissed.
