Several westbound lanes blocked on Katy Freeway at West Loop due to 3-vehicle crash involving heavy truck

HOUSTON – Heavy traffic is being reported on the westbound lanes of the Katy Freeway at the West Loop due to a multi-vehicle crash Friday morning.

The crash was reported at 9:43 a.m. on IH-10 Katy Westbound At IH-610 West Loop/ US 290 Direct Connect, according to Houston TranStar.

The crash involved three vehicles, including a heavy truck. The right shoulder, right lane and two center lanes are currently blocked as crews work to clear debris.

It is unknown if anyone was injured in the crash.
