KPRC 2 and Rhythm Energy’s Athlete of the Week: Atascocita’s Julian Sanchez

ATASCOCITA, Texas – Atascocita’s junior forward, Julian Sanchez, has helped the Eagles get to the 6A Division 1 State Championship game by scoring five goals in five games and becoming Atascocita’s all-time postseason goal scorer.

In the state semifinal game against Cibolo Steele, Sanchez scored two goals in the Eagles 4-1 victory, helping them get to the state finals for the first time in school history.

Julian’s teammates and Head Coach Jed Garner say he’s the reason they’re in the position they’re in to content for a state title. “On a team full of extremely hard workers, he is the hardest worker,” said Coach Garner.
