Fort Bend County is getting its own version of a popular foodie tradition, and it’s all for a good cause.

UpClose Magazine and East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry (EFBHNM) have teamed up to launch the inaugural Fort Bend Restaurant Weeks, set to run from April 6 through April 19, 2026.

Organizers say the event will highlight dozens of local restaurants while also helping families facing food insecurity across the community.

“We’re excited to launch this inaugural event showcasing the incredible restaurants in our community,” said John McMillen, publisher of UpClose Magazine. “Dine for a cause at one of Fort Bend’s participating restaurants April 6–19. We look forward to seeing our neighborhood patrons enjoying a delicious meal while supporting EFBHNM’s mission of feeding Fort Bend.”

The event encourages residents to dine out at participating restaurants, where a portion of proceeds will go toward supporting East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry.

For more than 35 years, EFBHNM has worked to meet the basic needs of families in East Fort Bend County, providing assistance to those experiencing food insecurity or temporary financial hardship.

“We are thrilled to join forces with UpClose Magazine and dozens of local restaurants that support the food pantry,” said Stacey Williams, executive director of EFBHNM. “EFBHNM feeds thousands of families each year, and partnerships like these help ensure that the food pantry can continue serving our neighbors in need.”

Fort Bend Restaurant Weeks is sponsored by UpClose Magazine, serving as the media sponsor, along with inKind, a platform that rewards diners for supporting their favorite restaurants.

Organizers say the goal is to not only boost local businesses but also raise awareness and funds for families who rely on food assistance programs.

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry and its ongoing efforts to provide meals and support services across the county.
