One injured after fire breaks out at SW Houston apartment

HOUSTON – The Houston Fire Department responded to a fire at a southwest Houston apartment complex.

The incident happened at the Pine Terrace Apartments located in the 3900 block of O’Meara Drive.

According to HFD authorities, the fire, labeled a 2-11 alarm, prompted an immediate response from multiple HFD units.

It was first reported on Facebook by Grizzy’s Hood News.

Residents reported seeing smoke and flames, and the department quickly arrived on the scene to contain the blaze.

One civilian was injured and was transported to Memorial Hermann. No other injuries or fatalities have been reported.

The exact number of affected apartment units has not yet been confirmed.

HFD said the fire appears to have been contained and put out.

Authorities have not released information on the cause of the fire.
