Major backups on Southwest Freeway after heavy truck accident near Loop 610

HOUSTON – Traffic heading eastbound on I-69, the Southwest Freeway, is majorly backed up due to a heavy truck accident.

The accident is near I-69 and the 610 Loop.

Houston Transtar cameras show the truck, which appears to be on its side. A wrecker is at the scene.

Camera images from Chimney Rock shows traffic is very heavy in the area as multiple lanes are closed.

Prepare for delays or seek an alternate route.
