Gusty winds leads to ground stop at Bush Intercontinental Airport

HOUSTON – Gusty winds have led to a ground stop at Bush Intercontinental Airport.

The FAA said the ground stop is through 3:45 p.m., but there is a medium probability it will be extended. It has since been extended to 4:45 p.m.

There was already an average ground delay of 158 minutes due to the wind.

So far, Bush has recorded a peak wind gust of 45 mph Monday.
