NFL Free Agency Tracker: Texans make Ka’imi Fairbairn highest-paid kicker in NFL with new deal

NFL free agency continued into Tuesday, and teams across the league are making aggressive moves to reshape their rosters.

The Houston Texans have made two new substantial moves Tuesday. First, they signed kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn to a two-year, $13 million extension that instantly made him the richest kicker in football.

Then, the Texans answered the concerns of many fans surrounding quarterback protection, signing former Indianapolis Colts offensive tackle Braden Smith to a two-year, $25 million deal.

New York Jets trade for former Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Geno Smith. The Raiders also gave the jets a 2026 seventh-round pick in the deal and received a 2026 sixth-round pick.

New England Patriots sign former Green Bay Packers WR Romeo Doubs to a four-year, $80 million deal ($68M guaranteed)

MONDAY

Atlanta Falcons sign former Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa for one year.

Carolina Panthers sign former Miami Dolphins EDGE Jaelan Phillips for four years, $120 million ($80M guaranteed).

Indianapolis Colts re-sign WR Alec Pierce for four years, $116 million.

Los Angeles Rams extend CB Trent McDuffie for four years, $124 million ($100M guaranteed), making him the highest-paid cornerback in NFL history.

Las Vegas Raiders sign former Baltimore Ravens C Tyler Linderbaum for a three-year, $81 million deal ($60M guaranteed), making him the highest-paid interior offensive lineman in the NFL.

Tennessee Titans sign former New York Giants WR Wan’Dale Robinson for four years, $78 million ($38M guaranteed).

Cleveland Browns restructure quarterback Deshaun Watson’s contract, converting $44.7 million of his base salary into a signing bonus. Watson’s new 2026 base salary will be $1.3 million with a salary cap figure of $44.956 million, though he will still earn $46 million in cash this season.

Los Angeles Chargers sign former Dallas Cowboys C Tyler Biadasz to a three-year, $30 million deal ($20M guaranteed).

Las Vegas Raiders sign former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Nakobe Dean to a three-year, $36.03 million deal ($23M guaranteed).
