Shelter-in-place issued for residents near recycling plant fire in Dayton

DAYTON, Texas – The Liberty County Office of Emergency Management is asking residents within a triangle perimeter around a recycling plant fire in Dayton to shelter in place.

The shelter in place is out of an abundance of caution as firefighters respond to the fire at the plant.

The fire is located at the Gulf Inland Logistics Park which is at 4445 Highway 90 W.

The agency shared a triangle map where they say residents within the triangle are asked to shelter in place.

The shelter in place will be lifted once the agency gets the all clear. Firefighters continue to respond to the fire.
