Memorial City Mall evacuated, will be closed for rest of night after ammonia leak

HOUSTON – The Memorial City Mall has been evacuated for the second time in weeks following an ammonia leak at the ice skating rink, according to the Houston Fire Department.
The leak was reported at 4:30 p.m.
No injuries have been reported.
The mall will remain closed for the rest of the night.
In December, the mall was also evacuated after an ammonia leak at the ice rink. About 30 mall employees and an ice hockey team practicing on the ice rink were evacuated.
The cause of the leak was unknown
