Fire at condominiums near Lake Conroe sends 1 person to the hospital

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – A 2-alarm fire at a condominium complex near Lake Conroe has sent one person to the hospital.

The fire was reported around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 3200 block of Poe Drive in the Walden-area.

The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office confirms one person has been transported to the hospital for possible smoke inhalation. Initial reports indicate the injured person may have been a construction worker, but that has not been confirmed at this time.

Three fire departments have responded to the scene.

Sky 2 Chopper flew over the scene. The fire appeared to be out by the time our chopper arrived. Fire crews are still on scene.

The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
