A firefighter was hospitalized after part of the ceiling collapsed while battling a house fire in north Harris County late Wednesday evening.
Crews were called to a home in the 11000 block of Maidencane Court around 9:15 p.m. Upon arrival, firefighters found flames showing around the side and roof of the house.
Firefighters quickly made entry and were able to knock the flames down. Part of the ceiling collapsed, striking a firefighter. He was transported to a local hospital for evaluation and is reported to be in stable condition and expected to be released soon.
No residents were injured in the blaze, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office.
