2 teens shot in parking lot after late-night Houston house party

Houston Police seek witnesses and video to shooting, suspect is unknown

HOUSTON – Two teenagers were hospitalized after gunfire erupted near a late-night party in south Houston, with one victim in critical condition, police said.

The shooting occurred just after 11:30 p.m. Saturday in a parking lot near Blodgett Street and Delano Street, according to Houston Police Department officials.

One teen was shot in the stomach and remains in critical condition, while the second victim suffered a gunshot wound to the foot and approached officers at the scene for help. Both were transported to local hospitals for treatment.

Lt. Ali of the Houston Police Department said the incident began at an Airbnb property before escalating.

“That altercation moved over to a parking lot across the street from the Airbnb, and that’s where the shooting happened,” Ali said. “Right now, we don’t know who the shooter is. The people who were at the party say they did not see him.”

Investigators were observed examining the scene, placing multiple evidence markers in the area, and conducting interviews with witnesses. Police are currently reviewing surveillance footage from nearby cameras to help identify the shooter.

Houston Police are urging anyone who attended the party or has video footage from the area to contact the Houston Police Department or Crime Stoppers.

The investigation remains active as detectives work to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting and identify those responsible.
