A suspect has been arrested in connection with three vehicle burglaries reported in northwest Harris County earlier this week.

In each case, victims reported that an unknown suspect broke into their vehicle and stole a purse from inside, Harris County Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman said.

Deputies conducted interviews and reviewed surveillance footage from the surrounding areas, which led investigators to identify Ramon Daniel, 27, as the suspect in all three incidents. Daniel would be later stopped by patrol officers.

During questioning, investigators said Daniel provided a full confession and admitted to committing each of the burglaries. Deputies also recovered a window punch tool in his possession.

Daniel was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on three counts of burglary of a motor vehicle.

In a Facebook post announcing the arrest, Constable Herman referred to Daniel as “The Grinch Who Stole Purses.”

His bond was set at $300.
