KINGWOOD, Texas – Images surfaced Tuesday afternoon showing a large body of water flooding the streets of a Kingwood neighborhood.
The floodwater has now been cleared from the street and repair work is underway.

The flood happened in the 2000 block of Round Spring Drive. A viewer in Kingwood sent KPRC 2 images from the scene at around 12:30 p.m.
The flood is believed to have started due to a water main leak.
KPRC 2’s Bryce Newberry learned that Houston Public Works was notified of the situation and sent a crew to the scene.
At around 2:40 p.m., KPRC 2 learned that water was no longer leaking and the flood has entirely receded. The responding crew dug a hole and are working to repair the water main.
