Mother charged leaving loaded gun at Sugar Land daycare center with 2-year-old

SUGAR LAND, Texas – A mother has been criminally charged after she brought a unloaded gun to a daycare center with her 2-year-old child.
The incident happened at the Primrose School of Greatwood, located in the 6500 block of Greatwood Parkway in Sugar Land.
Daycare workers reportedly found the weapon in a bag that was left with the young child. It was determined to be a mix-up by the parents.
The mother was charged with a misdemeanor count of making a firearm accessible to a child.
