Sugar Land plastic surgeon indicted, accused of performing surgery while intoxicated

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – A Sugar Land plastic surgeon has been indicted for allegedly performing surgery while intoxicated, according to the Sugar Land Police Department.
Dr. Azul Shirazali Jaffer, 50, is charged with performing surgery while intoxicated, a felony offense. He reportedly performed the surgery on Aug. 12 while intoxicated.
Sugar Land police arrested Jaffer on Monday following the indictment. He was booked into the Fort Bend County Jail.
According to Jaffer’s website , he has practiced plastic surgery for more than 24 years and is listed as a five-star–rated surgeon.
