Suspect arrested in connection to fatal shooting of man outside W. Houston bar

HOUSTON – Houston police say a man has been arrested after a fatal shooting of another man outside a bar in the Briar Forest area of the city last Friday.

The shooting happened in the 1900 block of S. Kirkwood Road.

Authorities say the man was standing outside the bar when two or three suspects approached him. Some sort of interaction occurred between the victim and the suspects and the victim was shot.

The suspects fled the scene in a burgundy-colored sedan.

It is unclear whether the shooting was the result of a fight or a robbery.

On Monday, HPD said one person has been arrested in the case.

21-year-old Jordan Fobb is charged with murder in connection to the fatal shooting of Maxie Worthy, 42.

Fobb was arrested on Sunday on an unrelated charge, He has since been charged in Worthy’s death.
