Student dies after being stabbed with scissors in classroom at Sterling High School

A classroom fight at Ross S. Sterling High School in Baytown turned deadly Wednesday when one student stabbed another with scissors. The injured student was flown to the hospital, but later died from his injuries. Goose Creek CISD placed the school on temporary hold while police took the suspect into custody and confirmed there’s no ongoing threat on campus. Families of both students were notified, and the district is offering support resources.


Man accused of bringing gun onto Spring ISD bus, targeting student, handed $6.9M bond

Court records show a 20-year-old man allegedly forced a Spring ISD school bus to stop, climbed aboard with a firearm, and attempted to pull a teen off the bus — later telling her, “I’ll get you later.” The suspect is charged with multiple felonies including aggravated assault and attempted kidnapping, and is being held on a $6.9 million bond. Officials said the incident stemmed from a prior relationship, and no students were physically injured.


Neighborhood cameras capture potential shooter’s route around Brown University

New surveillance footage shared by law enforcement shows the possible path of a person of interest before a shooting at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. The videos trace the individual’s movements near campus shortly before gunfire erupted inside an academic building, killing two people and injuring others. The investigation continues as authorities follow leads in the case.


Conroe judge told officers to ‘be aware that he is a judge’ during DWI stop

Court records obtained by KPRC 2 reveal that a Conroe municipal judge told officers, “Be aware that he is a judge,” when stopped on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. During the Dec. 10 traffic stop, police noted signs of impairment and obtained a warrant to draw his blood. The judge now faces DWI and unlawful carrying charges; he also has prior DWI arrests on record.
