A Union Pacific train and an 18-wheeler collided at a Seabrook crossing on Tuesday, causing a temporary disruption but thankfully, no injuries.
As the cleanup of the area proceeds, investigators are working to determine the circumstances leading to the crash.
Union Pacific sent KPRC 2 the following statement on the incident:
At approximately 9:30 a.m. CT on Tuesday, a Union Pacific train collided with a semi-trailer truck at a railroad crossing near Port Road and Highway 146 in Seabrook, Texas. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene, where fortunately, no injuries were reported. The crash involved an 18-wheeler and cleanup operations are currently underway. Union Pacific is collaborating with local authorities to investigate the incident and ensure safety measures are reinforced.
