More than 20 rounds fired at man who drove himself to nearby Jack in the Box after being shot in north Harris Co.

HOUSTON – A man was hospitalized Monday night after being shot in north Harris County, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident was reported around 8:24 p.m. in the 535 block of Airtex Boulevard and I-45.

After being shot, deputies said he drove himself to a Jack in the Box, located at 14775 North Freeway, for help. He was taken via ambulance to a nearby hospital. His condition is unknown.

According to deputies, the man got into an argument with four other men, and when he tried to drive away, he was shot in the back.

Deputies said about 20 rounds were fired at the victim’s vehicle.

The gunman is still on the run.
