Westbound lanes of Katy Freeway reopen after pedestrian struck and killed

HOUSTON – Traffic is now moving and the scene has cleared.
The westbound lanes of the Katy Freeway have been shut down at Beltway 8 after a pedestrian was struck and killed by an 18-wheeler.
Houston Transtar cameras show police at the scene and traffic backed up as they work to investigate.
All lanes are currently closed. Avoid the area and seek an alternate route.
