A major crash involving an 18-wheeler shut down all eastbound lanes of I-10 just east of I-45 early Wednesday morning, creating a traffic nightmare for Houston drivers.
The crash happened a little after 3 a.m. when the Houston Police Department and Fire Department said they arrived to find the big rig on its side, blocking every lane.

HFD says a hazmat team was called out due to a spill from the truck. A heavy-duty wrecker is being used to clear the 18-wheeler and its several-ton load, but crews say the cleanup is expected to take hours.
Drivers heading eastbound on I-10 should expect major delays through the morning rush and are urged to find alternate routes.
