Two electrical workers were injured after a transformer exploded in The Woodlands on Monday afternoon.
The incident happened early in the afternoon near the intersection of Branch Crossing Drive and Woodlands Parkway.

Officials with the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office responded to the situation.
The workers are employed by Entergy and reportedly suffered “facial injuries and burns.” They are in stable condition at this time.
Entergy released the following statement:
At Entergy Texas, safety is a core value. Earlier today, two of our employees were injured while on the job and are expected to make a full recovery. We will review the details of the incident to identify potential opportunities to strengthen our safety practices. Currently, our thoughts and prayers are with our employees and their families as they recover from this incident.
