HOUSTON – A hunt is underway for a man in all black, firing several gunshots in the Spring area, causing an elementary school nearby to go on temporary secure mode.
Details are limited due to how active the investigation is, but the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office said no one was hurt from the gunfire reported on Butte Creek Road near Ponderosa Elementary School.
Initial reports indicated that the school went on lockdown as a search continued for the gunman, but Spring ISD later clarified that the school was only ever under secure mode.
The secure mode has since been lifted after Harris County officials gave the school the green light.
