Man hit with machete following fight on METRORail vehicle

HOUSTON – A man was rushed to a hospital Wednesday morning after being hit by a machete following a fight with another man, according to Houston METRO police.
The incident was reported at approximately 11:13 a.m. aboard a METRORail vehicle at Burnett Station on board an LRV.
Police said two male passengers got into a fight. One of the men pulled out a machete and cut the other man on his hands.
METRO Police officers arrived on scene at 11:18 a.m. and were able to take the suspect into custody without incident. Charges are currently pending.
Houston firefighters arrived and administered medical care to the victim, who sustained two lacerations to his hands, believed to be defensive wounds.
The victim was transported to the hospital for further treatment.
The investigation remains ongoing.
