The Houston Rockets have teamed up with Texas’ other two NBA franchises—the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs—to donate more than $2 million towards the recovery efforts for the Hill Country floods.
The organization announced the donation Monday afternoon. Along with the Texas teams, the NBA and the Player’s Association will be contributing in the donation.
“We extend our deepest gratitude to the historic first responders and volunteers working tirelessly to search, rescue and provide aid,” a portion of the team’s statement read.
Two of Houston’s other sports teams, the Astros and Texans, have also made charitable contributions to flood relief efforts.
